Lessons Learned: Virtual Platform Strategies for Community Meetings

August 19, 2020
11:30 AM - 1:00 PM

Spezia
3125 S 72nd Street
Omaha, NE 68124

Even in the midst of a global pandemic, citizens and stakeholders deserve to understand the impacts of design and construction projects. Yet, social distancing may not be possible for in-person meetings, and shutting down the public involvement process is not an option. Community residents deserve to participate, and architects, engineers, and contractors must step up and deliver public meetings via virtual platforms.

This program features Sara Radil from HDR who will share valuable lessons learned and helpful insights about how HDR is using technology to conduct public involvement outreach meetings. She will share specific examples so the audience walks away with more knowledge about platform strategies and helpful tips so their virtual meetings can proceed without a hitch, too.

This hybrid program is a living example for virtual meetings, as we will broadcast the luncheon program from Spezia. (Heads up that we’re having honey peppered salmon, garlic mashed potatoes, and asparagus for the in-person menu, celebrating our return to Spezia!
