Maisha Christian Hagan, Marketing Director – Jokake Construction

Many people understand the correlation between corporate culture and operational results, however most are bewildered about where and how to start improving the environment in which they work. Companies like Google, FaceBook, and Zappos provide excellent examples of what companies built on good culture look like, but provide little advice or strategy for how existing companies can transition from toxic to healthy.

There is, however, good news for individuals looking to positively influence culture within their A/E/C firms. This session explores the cultural shift taking place at Jokake Construction, a 35 year old company currently thriving under new leadership and presents wisdom, tactics and helpful examples of how marketing professionals can help change the environment and improve operations within their firms.

Key Take-aways:

After this program, attendees will be able to:

  • Learn how their marketing skill-set is uniquely designed for cultural challenges

  • Understand and explain how cultural shift results in revenue opportunities

  • Understand and explain why corporate culture needs an advocate at the corporate leadership level

  • Choose from a menu of tactics they can take home and implement

  • Develop strategies to respond/manage negativity
