PAYMENT POLICY
Your registration will cover attendance at the event at the location noted for that event. Please be sure to check in at the registration desk at the event. Check/Cash registrations must pay at the event.  Workshop programs require check/cash registration payments prior to the event. Checks can be mailed to SMPS Nebraska, PO Box 390093, Omaha, NE 68139-0093.  When mailing check please include registration confirmation.

Please note the refund policy below. No-shows will receive an invoice after the event.  All invoices for no-shows or non-payment at the time of the event will include a $10 invoicing fee and will be due upon receipt.

REFUND POLICY
All sales are final.  No refunds unless requested 3 business days prior to an event in writing or by email.  Refunds for workshops require notice 5 business days prior to the event in writing or by email.  There is a 15% cancellation fee for all refunds.  Credits may be issued to be used for future event registrations in lieu of refund.

Join us in welcoming Ben Sawa from Boston, MA, Vice President and Director of Marketing with GEI!

In an ever changing and highly competitive environment for marketing AEC professional services, some fundamental approaches to client and business development have stood the test of time. 

In this discussion, Ben Sawa (SMPS 2015 Chapter President of the Year) will review and explore these approaches with a particular emphasis on how marketers can help influence, manage and ultimately lead activities that can position their firms for long-term success. He will also walk through the capture planning process, a systematic way of identifying leads and opportunities, assessing the market and competitive environment, and ultimately developing and implementing strategies to best position your firm to win.

Please note: registration and networking will begin at 11:30 and the program will run from 11:45-1pm.

About the presenter

Ben Sawa is Vice President and Director of Marketing in GEI’s Boston, MA office. Throughout his fifteen years at GEI he has held various positions within the firm including roles in geotechnical engineering, geology, corporate finance and accounting, mergers and acquisitions, operations and marketing. In his current role Ben oversees all marketing functions including strategic planning, client positioning, market research and analysis, account management, strategic pursuits, and external communications.

Ben is a former President of SMPS Boston and is currently Co-Chair of the 2018 SMPS Northeast Regional Conference. He remains active in several other industry organizations and is currently on the Board of Directors of PWC Boston.
